How it works

From first demo to live apps

We set TifTif up for you, inside accounts you own. You spend a few hours sharing your brand and business details; we install, brand, configure and test everything, then train you and your riders.

In short

TifTif setup happens in five stages: a live demo, your go-ahead and accounts, your brand and country details, our setup and testing, and launch. The web app and admin panel go live within a week of your details being ready; the Android apps follow once Google Play approves them.

The launch, step by step

What happens, and when

Timings assume your details and accounts are ready when we need them. Store review times are set by Google and Apple, not by us.

  1. 1
Day 0 · You and us

    Live demo

We walk you through the real customer, rider, admin and super admin apps with live orders. You ask everything, and get a written quote for your country.

  2. 2
Day 1 · You, with our help

    Go-ahead and accounts

You create the accounts the platform will run in, in your own name: domain, hosting, database, Google Play developer account and your payment gateway. We send a checklist and can join a call while you do it.

  3. 3
    Days 1–2 · You

    Brand and business details

Logo, colours and app name; your menu and prices; meal times and order cutoffs; delivery zones and kitchen address; currency and time zone.

  4. 4
    Days 2–5 · Us

    Setup and branding

We install the platform in your accounts, apply your brand to every app, wire your currency, payment method and time zone, and configure menus, prices, cutoffs, zones and notifications.

  5. 5
Days 5–7 · Us, then you

    Testing and training

We run test orders end to end — order, kitchen count, route, delivery, refund. Then we train you on the admin panel and your riders on the rider app, and you place your own test orders.

  6. 6
    Within a week · Us

Web app and admin go live

Customers can order, subscribe and pay from your web app — which installs to any phone's home screen — while the store apps are in review.

  7. 7
The following weeks · Us and Google

    Android apps on Google Play

We build your signed customer and rider apps and submit your store listing. New personal developer accounts must first run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days; organisation accounts can apply for production straight away.

  8. 8
12 months from launch · Us

    Support and updates

Fixes, product updates and help for you and your team, including the store updates Google requires to keep apps listed.

Before we start

What we need from you

Everything on this list is something only you can provide. We send it as a checklist after your go-ahead.

Your brand

  • Logo, ideally as SVG or a large PNG
  • Brand colours
  • App name and a one-line description
  • A few photos of your food, if you have them

Your business

  • Menu items and prices
  • Meal times and order cutoffs
  • Delivery zones or areas
  • Kitchen address
  • Currency, time zone and language

Your accounts

  • Domain name (or we help you buy one)
  • Google Play developer account — $25 once
  • Payment gateway or merchant details
  • Apple developer account — $99 a year, for the iPhone apps

Your people

  • Who will run the admin panel
  • Your riders' names and phones
  • An hour for training
  • A few friends or staff to test the apps
Why your accounts

Why we set it up in your name

Your data stays yours

Customers, orders and wallet balances live in a database in your account — not in a shared vendor system.

Your apps, your listing

The apps are published under your developer account, with your name on the store page.

Costs at the source

You pay providers directly, at their prices. Nothing is marked up in the middle.

You can leave any time

If you ever stop working with us, the platform keeps running in accounts you already control.

After launch

Your first year, supported

Launch is where most businesses need help most. The support year covers it.

  1. 1

    Help when you need it

Questions from you or your team, answered by the people who set you up.

  2. 2

    Fixes

If something in the platform breaks, we fix it.

  3. 3

    Updates

Improvements released during the year reach your apps too.

  4. 4

    Store upkeep

The yearly updates Google Play requires, so your apps stay listed.

On this page

Do I need any technical skills?

No. You create a few accounts in your own name — we send step-by-step instructions and can join a call — and we do the installation, branding, configuration and testing.

Can I use my existing domain?

Yes. We point a subdomain or your main domain at the app, whichever you prefer.

Do I need a registered company to publish on Google Play?

No — a personal developer account works, but Google makes new personal accounts run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before the app can go public. An organisation account, which needs a registered business and a D-U-N-S number, can apply for production without that test.

What if Google asks for changes to the listing?

We handle the store review for you, including any changes Google asks for, as part of setup.

How do my existing customers move over?

Customers create their own accounts in minutes with their phone number — share your app link on WhatsApp or print it on your packaging. If they had prepaid balances with you, the admin panel can credit their wallets.

How long do the iPhone apps take?

We build the iPhone apps alongside Android once you have an Apple developer account; Apple's review usually takes a few days, and first submissions can take longer.
